I own a pair of the Krest 29er tires. I simply love them, they are very grippy on most terrain, they are light and best of all, they don’t puncture easily.

  2. Biketek

26×2.1 Krest tires are 660 grams, not 880. The 29×2.1 are 740 grams. The item info is a mistake. Serfas Swoop tires are 880.

  3. Chris

Fantastic tire, I run this tubeless on the front or back, very fast very grippy. Currently have a swoop on the back and the krest on the front. Perfect for the Santee hills.

  4. Page Morgan

This tire has saved my butt. I have been riding on small block 8’s and desperately needed a grippy front tire for my next race and this guy definitely came through. And without breaking my wallet.

  5. John

Lots of grip. Tends to hold onto small rocks and fling them into the frame. Overall great tire.

  6. Animal

Raced KREST 9er tires in The Traverse 2010″”” best tires I have used in the Santa Ana Mountains yet. Worked great cutting though the rocks and staying hooked up in the loose shale.”

  7. John

These tires will take a beating and keep on rolling. A little on the heavy side but that is the trade off for such a tough tire. Good grip in most conditions.

  8. Shawn

Raced them at the XC event at sea otter this year. That course had a little bit of everything….sand, hard pack, climbs, gravel, etc…these tires kept me up while still rolling fast. My next set will definitely be these Krest tires again.

My 29er Raleigh Talus came with Kenda Slant Six, which were good on pavement but would loose traction is wet grass and loose mud and rock. I purchase a Krest for the front was so impressed with the traction control I bought a rear right away. Now I can confidently stand up climb over terrain without loosing traction and stick to the gound in corners that before had me skiddish. The weight is noticable as well as the grippyness on pavement. But fro the money and the performance I am pleased. Now to go tubeless.

Looking for a tire that won’t let you down, then look no further! Unbeatable in loose rocky terrain, yet very fast rolling on hard pack surfaces too. I was surprised at how quiet these were on the road when riding to and from trails trails. This shows the low rolling resistance and the smoothness of the tire.

The aggressive tried pattern is perfect as a rear tire and the high sidewall knobs provide a really good confidence booster for those who really want to shred and really tip on trails. I’d recommend these as a great loose rocky trail and also they would be perfect for the faster trails that you really want to lay hard and fast into. The folding bead is compatible with tube

Ess rims, so just add some sealant and you have a fast tubeless setup.

  11. Mike

Great all around tire, tones of traction and fast rolling. Works great in hard packed and loose dry conditions.

  12. Aaron G

Been rolling on the Krest tires for a few months now and I think I have enough miles on them to give them a review. All I can say is ‘AWESOME’. The width (2.1) and tread pattern work perfectly here in arid Southern California. I ride many types of trail, rocky, loose, decomposed granite, smooth dirt, mud and the occasional snow and these tires hook up in all those conditions. It’s a durable tire, no torn off knobbies or sidewall cuts. I’m running my Krest tires tubeless and have not had any issues with sealant weeping out through the sidewall. You guys did well on the design of this tire. I pick up a new mtn bike next week and will be putting on a pair of these tires in a 2.35 size
