My experiences and reviews of the Performance Rx and Dorado saddles were favorable so I bought the TRS-2 Terazzo men’s saddle to try out another Serfas saddle for my mountain bike. I have been riding it for 2 to 4 hour rides several times a week for the past year and absolutely love it. At 356 grams it is slightly lighter than my 380 gram Dorado but the blue silicone sit bone stretch pads underneath the foam provide much more travel and comfort. The Terazzo has about an inch of travel for my sit bones when I hit bumps so that is definitely worth the extra $15 cost beyond the Dorado. If you look underneath the saddle you can actually see the amazing travel when you push down hard on the saddle’s sit bone spots with your thumb. My longest rides so far have been about four hours without the least bit of discomfort. The foam is just right for comfort and control. I’m still leaving my 440 gram Performance RX on my touring bike for all day comfort but the Terazzo is a very close second for my style of riding without special cycling clothes, chamois or chamois butter.

Now training for my 7th Century ride. Have tried 12 different saddles on my 29er hardtail, three from Serfas, and the Terazzo reigns supreme. Going to put another one on my full suspension 29er. Most comfortable seat I ever ridden. May get another one for my classics/gravel grinder. This seat is designed to eliminate friction with just right amount of padding. I keep my chamois butter at home now. The product support team from Serfas is also excellent to work with.

I’ve got about 2,000 miles on a Serfas DDM-CT seat, which I really like, but I don’t care for the Lycra cover because it seems to cause a lot of friction. The TRS-2 is a worthy replacement. I did a 100 mile ride a few days ago and the seat was great! More comfortable than the DDM-CT, which was by far the most comfortable seat I’ve tried. I’m using the seat on a road bike and couldn’t be happier.

I’ve been riding as an adult for more than 30 years, and have tried a fair number of saddles over the years, and I’m quite pleased with my Terazzo saddle on my errand-running townie bike. I wanted a bike and a saddle that I could hop on and ride for at least a couple hours at a time without feeling a need to get kitted up. The Terazzo is very comfortable while wearing ordinary street gear, and seems to be very durable with fabrics like canvas or denim rubbing against it. I like mine a lot, my wife likes hers a lot also, and we will be looking to Serfas again if we ever reach a point where we need to replace them.
