Quick Overview

“BLAST” Audible Low Battery Indicator

Coming up with ways to make you safer on the road, when using Serfas lights, is a top priority. NEW for 2016, our “BLAST” Audible Low Battery Indicator emits a loud 85 Decibel signal when your light battery gets under 10 minute runtime in that specific mode.

How It Works

  • When the battery reaches 10 minutes of runtime, in its current mode, the light will emit a long beep followed immediately by a short beep. Sound will continue every minute.
  • When the power button is pressed it will put the light in the next longest running mode & it will restart the battery low alert until 10 minutes of runtime in the mode is reached. Repeat as necessary. Example: Going from highest mode to lowest mode at first beep could extend runtime up to 5 times.*
  • Light will emit beep sound repeatedly when last minute of runtime in the current mode is reached.
  • While charging the light the power button will blink blue. When full charge is achieved light will beep to notify charging cycle is complete.
  • Light emits a beep when power button is pushed & light goes from mode to mode.

Wow!! So bright!.. I also love the different modes for flashing. The audible warning for low battery is helpful too on the long rides running into dusk. The memory is convenient so I can just turn it on to the setting I like. The USB charging is a huge money saver too considering how much I use this (2 hours a day). A battery powered light would’ve cost me a fortune by now.. Two thumbs up!

This light is the bomb! I use it two ways: 1. As a front blinker. 2. As a back-up headlight. With 300 lumens, it is the first front bar light that can actually work as a back-up headlight. The two advantages of its shape are: 1. That it is aero. i.e. You can mount it parallel with your handlebars or head tube. 2. The light is spread allowing you to see the road close-up and prevents blinding other riders. I tested it at the Hotter ‘N Hell 100 and ran in blink mode continuously in blink mode for 93 miles at an average speed of 16.3mph.

I mounted this light on my road bike and use it during daytime and nighttime rides. It’s a light that attracts attention! In the simultaneous flashing yellow/red mode is where this light exceeds any other light out there, 300 lumens is bright for a tailight. It has many settings to give you a yellow flash, a red flash or a combination of the two. The audible warning when your battery gets low is a blessing, so is the audible chirp when the light is fully charged. If you want to be seen on the road get yourself one of these lights!!

The lights are bright however, the rapid blink mode isnt really rapid at all. It is more like “blink once per second”. That’s more like slow to me.

  5. Bill

Nice light but the button control is not intuitive as to change blink mode you hold down the bottom for two seconds but to turn if off, only one second.
