Comments:

While the light output of the 6 LEDs is entirely adequate for an entry level bike light, the reliability of this product is not. After a six months of use the light now has failed to stay on when going over bumps and it appears that either the switch has failed or the contacts/wiring has failed. This light is no longer usable as it cannot be relied on to stay on while riding. Not a fun prospect.

This is my favorite headlight I have ever owned. Its hard biking in Asheville period, but especially at night. Its in the mountains, theres blind curves,no street lights, and terrifying red neck drivers.I can actually see what is in front of me with this light and feel much safer.Plus the easiness of taking the light on and off is awesome!!! I have purchased 2 of these and am about to buy a 3rd, so maybe it is made cheaply, but I know I am hard on stuff(i bike everyday).I mean screw the $30 i would rather be able to see.I will keep buying this light till they stop making it!!!!

Comments:

this light is fine in terms of light output. however, it is cheaply put together. the battery compartment consists of parts which are not glued or firmly attached to the body of the light in any way. what this means is that these small pieces, which are essential to the light's successful operation, fall out easily. in my case, the pieces would frequently come out of place riding under normal conditions on a bumpy road, causing the light light to go out while riding. eventually, i was trying to push these pieces back into place while riding, and upon going over a large bump (that i could not see without my light), the pieces and batteries all spilled out, and i could not find them in the dark without a light. so not only did i lose my batteries and right home with no light, but the light is now incapable of working, and the parts incapable of being replaced. overall, this light is poorly made, and id suggest going with something like a blackburn, that is more reliable.

Comments:

Performance is excellent. The light mounts quick and easy, and illuminates dark roads well. Overall weight is light and battery life is great. I like these lights so much, I use them as my regular flashlight. (I own two) Quality is also excellent except the springs that connect the light to the battery pack. I had to stretch mine about 1/16 inch on both lights to keep the lights from shutting off when I rode over a bump in the road. I had the same problem with two previous lights and Serfas replaced them free under warranty. Customer service is also excellent.
